FAQ

What does low barrier mean?

  • Appointment times are scheduled but flexible; new patients can walk in without calling in advance.
  • Prescriptions for buprenorphine are generally provided on the first day.
  • Substance use and behavioral health counseling are offered but not required in order to obtain medication.
  • Urine drug tests showing the use of drugs/substances are not used to deny patients prescriptions.
  • Patients are never discharged from the program for missing an appointment.

What does a patient need to do to see a medical provider?

At the first intake appointment (available Tuesday through Thursday 1:00 – 3:30 pm), patients will complete a 60-90 minute new patient intake. They will also meet with a patient care navigator for a program introduction and meet with a nurse and provider.

Do I need to participate in all of the services available or can I just get a medication?

No. All services are optional.

Do I have to have hepatitis to be seen in this clinic?

No. Anyone may access our services.
