We operate two Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) – Country Doctor in Capitol Hill and Carolyn Downs in the Central District. In addition, we have an After Hours Clinic next to Swedish Cherry Hill and a dental clinic next to our Capitol Hill location.

Our Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center was founded by the Seattle Black Panther Party in 1970 in Seattle’s Central District, and our Country Doctor Community Clinic was founded by community and political activists in 1971, which began our commitment to providing humane, high-quality health care to all patients. We care for patients from around the region and the world, of all ages, all gender identities, and sexual expressions, of all abilities and lifestyles, and with or without insurance.

We have a multi-disciplinary team of dedicated and dynamic individuals who are all committed to social justice and health equity.

We cover 100% of the cost of medical and dental benefits for our full-time employees, and 75% of the cost of medical benefits for dependent children. We provide a full range of comprehensive benefits, which includes:
